“The Georgian Public Health Dictionary: An Open Resource for Terminology and Definitions”
The Georgian Public Health Dictionary (GPHD) is an open-access resource providing terminology and definitions in the field of public health, available in the Georgian language. Developed in line with the strategy of the School of Public Health at David Tvildiani Medical University, the dictionary aims to assist students, professionals, and researchers in simplifying the learning and research process in the field of public health.
Edited by Professor Giorgi Pkhakadze, MD, PhD, who leads the School of Public Health at David Tvildiani Medical University, the dictionary is the first of its kind in Georgia. It includes over 1,500 terms, available in both Georgian and English, with detailed explanations and practical examples accompanying each Georgian term. The dictionary is updated annually and its electronic version functions as an open platform, where users can suggest changes to existing translations or definitions and contribute new terms.
The GPHD is designed as a comprehensive resource for public health specialists, epidemiologists, biostatisticians, academic staff, researchers, students, translators, civil society activists, and professionals from related fields like medicine, sociology, anthropology, and demography. The dictionary covers all aspects of public health and epidemiology, offering a fast and easy-to-use guide for professionals and academics alike.

საქართველოს საზოგადოებრივი ჯანდაცვის ლექსიკონი (GPHD) წარმოადგენს ქართულ ენაზე საზოგადოებრივი ჯანდაცვის სფეროში ტერმინოლოგიის და განმარტებების ღია რესურსს, რომელიც შეიქმნა დავით ტვილდიანის სამედიცინო უნივერსიტეტის საზოგადოებრივი ჯანდაცვის სკოლის სტრატეგიის შესაბამისად. ეს ლექსიკონი წარმოადგენს მნიშვნელოვან რესურსს სტუდენტებისთვის, პროფესორებისთვის, მკვლევარებისთვის, საზოგადოებრივი ჯანდაცვის სპეციალისტებისთვის, და სხვა დარგების წარმომადგენლებისთვის, რომლებიც დაკავშირებულნი არიან მედიცინის, სოციოლოგიის, დემოგრაფიის, ანთროპოლოგიის და მსგავსი დარგებთან.
